Base Radio is excited to announce, that on the 29th April, we launched officially on the community DAB network, here in Bristol. This came after a successful application process and being granted an Ofcom license. The countdown clock began and our first DAB broadcast at 8am was aired.
You will be able to find us on DAB radios under the Bristol East section, look for Bristol, then Bristol East, then look for Base Radio and hit save.
Exciting times ahead and such a great opportunity to reach the wider audiences of Bristol and the local communities within it. We rely on the support of the public, our listeners and supporters. This is a great time to get involved with South Bristol's first community station.
Base radio aims to offer a successful DAB station and we will provide a valuable programming service to our listeners for years to come, offering news, information, and entertainment to our communities.

About us
Base Radio is an innovative South Bristol community radio station, airing across Bristol and the UK. Were about to enter a new chapter in our station, and from April 29th 2023 we will be available on DAB radio. Currently available on internet radio and on all the standard streaming sources. Alexa, Google, Tunein radio, our App or website.
We provide you our listeners, with a fresh variety of music all day, Classic and 21st Century, Chart, 80s retro, Soul, Funk, RnB, sensational 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and in time, much more. You will find something to suit and a presenter to keep you locked in.
Our presenters, are dedicated in offering you, good quality music and chat. They play what they want, how they like, with you at forefront of their mind. They are the driving force of Base Radio. We are a community radio station, on the south side of the city, airing right across Bristol. We want the community of Bristol right here with us. No matter when you tune in, your guaranteed great music.

Base Radio is searching for quality radio hosts and backroom volunteers to further enhance our team. Management and team leader roles.
We are looking for experienced and non experienced presenters with personalities, enthusiastic and confident behind a microphone, that can interact with listeners on-air and online.
